In order to achieve this, every effort is made to see new patients within one week of contacting us.
What to Expect
At the end of an assessment, you will have answers to the following questions and these will be communicated to your family physician.
1. Is my diagnosis accurate?
2. Has the treatment I’ve received considered appropriate within the orthopaedic community?
3. Have I exhausted all non-surgical treatment options?
4. Do I need further tests or treatments? If so, what tests or treatments?
5. What is the probability of being offered surgery if I saw a surgeon today?
6. What can I do to prevent surgery and improve the quality of my lifestyle?
Appointment Details.
Location: Main Floor, Heavens Fitness Club, 637 – 11th Avenue SW, Calgary (scroll to bottom of this page for a map).
Parking: There is parking at Heavens Fitness and plenty of street parking surrounding Heavens.
Appointments: Terry only sees one patient at a time and all assessments take between 60 and 90 minutes. Family members are invited to attend any appointment.
Booking an appointment: All appointments are booked on line and can be booked 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Simply request a face-to-face meetingand our schedule will appear automatically. Please do not call Heavens Fitness because they cannot make appointments.
Appointment Fees: We regret that our services are not covered by Alberta Health Services, therefore in order to continue to offering our program, we must be able recover our costs through charging patients directly. If you have extended health insurance that includes physiotherapy the cost of our services should be eligible for reimbursement through your plan. Our Triage Assessment fee is $150.
Payment: If you have extended health insurance that includes physiotherapy the cost of this service should be eligible for reimbursement. To avoid problems, you’re encouraged to contact your insurance company to see if physiotherapy assessments are covered. Receipts will be provided for reimbursement from your insurance company.
