The Acute Knee Injury Clinic (AKIC) is a free knee clinic for acute knee injuries.
• Patients do not require a referral.
• The clinic is only for patients who have injured their knee in the last six weeks.
• This clinic is not for chronic knee problems.
• AKIC sees patients who are over the age of 14.

This site provides you with information on wait times to surgery.
A Wait Time is the time between when a patient and [specialist] decide that a procedure or diagnostic test is required and the date the procedure or test is performed.
A Wait Time is not the time between when a patient is referred to see a surgeon and when the patient is seen. For example, a patient may wait 3 to 12 months to see a surgeon, but the wait time figures that appear on the wait time website, is only taken from the time a patient sees a surgeon to when either a test or surgery is performed. A patient may wait 3 to 12 months to see a surgeon and wait another 3 to 6 months to undergo surgery bringing the total time from referral to surgery between 6 and 18 months.
Please note, depending on the diagnosis, surgery may be offered immediately but this remains a decision for the surgeon to make.
